Meet Sonny…… how cuuuuute is he?
Ha ha, I must be jinxed with this little guy as this is my second attempt at uploading my blog post and the second time I had to shoot him. The first time he arrived he was having none of it!!! We just could not get him settled at all which apparently wasn’t like him. He wasn’t a happy little bunny at all so I asked them to come back and I’m so glad I did because not long after the first session poor Sonny was sick. I always tell my clients not to stress if their child becomes ill or is not cooperating as some times kids have bad days just like us grown ups!
Anyway just to let you all know that the mini sessions are booking up fast with some times still available so please get in touch if you would like to book a slot.
Goodness I go from one week without posting anything to mass uploads the next. How could I not share posting these uber cute pictures of baby Harley who was about 7 days old when these shots were taken. He had the most perfect skin, gorgeous spiky hair and had the best baby smell I have ever smelt.
Congratualtions to Mike, Natalie and big brother Mikey.
I have been sooooooo excited about getting these pics edited and posted on my blog so that I can share some of the whacky stuff we got up to on Saturday at David and Tamsin’s gorgeous wedding. I loved the attention to detail these two went to in order to make their day so special and I felt excited to be a part of it. I’m not saying it was easy lol……… lugging about a red wooden door and panicking that my “Just Married” sign would be here in time (arriving the day before) even though it was ordered a month prior to the wedding!!! Thankfully it all came together just perfectly and I hope that David and Tamsin are as delighted with their photographs as I am.
I encourage all couples to do their own research as to what they want captured on their special day. Tamsin had this fab book that she had stuck everything into and kept me in the loop of colours, what she liked and didn’t like, clothing styles etc which helped me get a better picture of the end result which I feel really does represent their wonderful wedding.
Here are just a very few of MY favourite images, god knows how I’m going to whittle down the rest!
Where on earth has the time gone?
I’ve been meaning to upload some of the shoots I’ve been doing lately but as usual I’ve fell way behind mainly due to the hecticness of trying to finish off my studio, which is well under way and looking good. I’m super excited and can’t wait to share some pics with you.
If your like me and thinking about Christmas already and what to get the parents/Granny’s and Grandas for Christmas why not book a session with Amara Ritchie Photography and pop a lovely pic in as a Christmas gift! Dates are filling up rather quickly so if your thinking about it – book now to be guaranteed Christmas delivery.
I’ve included a few shots of a gorgeous 8 month old baby girl called Lily who had the biggest eyes I have ever seen.
I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful girl called Sarah today who was given a photoshoot as a gift for her 21st from her parents. (Pretty cool parents if you ask me). We decided on a nice hotel Meldrum House which is absolutely stunning. I wanted to share a couple of images from todays shoot with you, I really didn’t have to edit much at all as Sarah has the most gorgeous skin and pretty face that I could have uploaded them straight from the camera.
Sarah has kindly let me share these images with you and if I looked as good as her I’d want them plastered all over the place lol!!
I have so many other shoots to share with you that I’ve done over the past few days and weeks that I hope to eventually get round to uploading and updating my site and blog. For now though I’ve been concentrating on my studio (which is almost there) even though I haven’t done much work. It’s all thanks to my gorgeous husband and his friends. You see – men do come in useful sometimes 😉
So, have a great weekend everyone and if you fancy booking a boudoir shoot for yourself or guys if you want to book one for your pretty lady as a surprise, give me a shout for some more details.
On Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing the lovely Katrina and Michael on the stunning grounds of Aswanley Estate
I would highly recommend this place to any couple who are looking to decorate things to their taste. It has beautiful stables with a lake and lots of old buildings round about it.
Little Katie looked gorgeous in her red dress and is so photogenic I could have kidnapped her
The happy couple
Well after posting on my Facebook page and blog for a newborn baby girl I had the pleasure of stealing this gorgeous little thing. Little Sophie was super cute and so good – well apart from peeing all over me but I suppose that comes with the job ;-).
There were a couple of props I wanted to try out, one being a saddle which didn’t quite work out as I had hoped but I will persevere till I get it the way I want. I also loved using this gorgeous dogs bed made by a very talented friend of mine Sirah Parks. Thought I would share a couple of pics with you, so here are some of my faves:
Yes I know it’s a little random title for a blog post but I wanted to be pretty specific about what I want lol.
As much as I love what I do sometimes time doesn’t allow me to photograph what I want to and the best way to go about that is to advertise a free sitting.
I’m looking to photograph a baby girl within 10 days old with a mass of dark hair wearing a range of props that I have. If you are keen to have your baby girl photographed in exchange for some free images please free to contact me and I will explain in more detail.
It’s been a good wee while since I updated the blog but I seem to have got myself in a wee tiz between weddings, portrait shoots, and buying clothes for our family holiday! Now that the school holidays are just around the corner and I’m beginning to feel organised I want to share two of the weddings I shot this past couple of weekends. Both brides were absolutely gorgeous as were the locations…… Pittodrie House Hotel where Alison and Kris got married. Clair and Jim got married at Newhills Church, followed by some picture taking at Stoneywood House which is ABSOLUTELY stunning and then onto the Airport Thistle in Dyce. Both weddings were gorgeous days even though Karen (my assistant photographer) and I were attacked by mosquitos or beasties of some description at Pittodrie. I woke up the next day covered in little bites euchhhh!
Anyway here are some of the images I shot:
These first batch are of Alison and Kris Pittman
Congratulations also to Clair and Jim Burbridge
As much as I hate having a cold and lack of energy to do anything it’s been a blessing in disguise because, my lack of energy has meant that I have been glued to my computer and trying to come up with some new designs for Coffee Table Books and Wall Art. For those of you who are expecting your first newborn and decorating a nursery but can’t quite decide what to put on the walls – look no further!! Why not go for gorgeous pictures of your “lil” one with their initials. Better still, tell me your nursery colour scheme and I will design it to suit at no extra charge rather than the templates already designed. This way you can be guaranteed that no one else will have the same art on their walls.
These are not only available for newborns, – you may be re-decorating your little girl or boys bedroom and want some updated themed images with a new colour scheme. The options are endless and I’m always happy to work with you to see what it is you want.

They are so adorable NOT to have 😉
I have more Coffee Table Templates coming soon but here is the newest design.
The choice is endless and that’s what I want to bring you – something a little different.
