I am just back from Focus in Imaging which is held yearly at Birmingham NEC and I’m whacked!
I walked for miles and still got lost every time I tried to find the exit even on day 3.
So what’s new for this year I hear you say? Well……I will be supplying new and funky fabulous wall art. There will be new albums offered for my weddings which I know your gonna love and I’m just so excited I wanted to share it with you all. I also joined the MPA (Master Photographers Association) basically the MPA is the premier professional organisation for Wedding, Portrait and Commercial Master Photographers. It’s going to be hard work I’m sure but well worth it in the end.
Oooooh and watch out for a competition coming soon to celebrate the launch of my new kids website 😉
Sometimes I have a vision in my head of how I want a photo shoot to look and what kind of model I want to use. Ahhhhh the joys of advertising on facebook for the type of model I want is a fab way of getting the right person for the job!
Meet Josie, she’s exactly what I was after for this photo session. It was absolutely freezing cold but this gorgeous little girl was perfect in helping me achieve the images I had envisioned. I hope you like them as much as I enjoyed photographing her.
Congratulations to Mhairi and David who got married on Saturday 23rd October at Logie Buchan Church.
Although very cold Mhairi and David’s wedding was just lovely. The church was in the back of beyond…….it was like a little secret church in the middle of a field (kind of) and apparently is ever only used about twice a year. Also to my surprise was the same minister that married my husband and myself 8 years ago which was a pleasant surprise.
Mhairi wore this gorgeous lace style dress in which she looked absolutely gorgeous in (my diet begins tomorrow) lol, and she wore a hair piece which was to die for, but best of all she pulled out the wellies from the back of the car for some good old country pics.
I have been sooooooo excited about getting these pics edited and posted on my blog so that I can share some of the whacky stuff we got up to on Saturday at David and Tamsin’s gorgeous wedding. I loved the attention to detail these two went to in order to make their day so special and I felt excited to be a part of it. I’m not saying it was easy lol……… lugging about a red wooden door and panicking that my “Just Married” sign would be here in time (arriving the day before) even though it was ordered a month prior to the wedding!!! Thankfully it all came together just perfectly and I hope that David and Tamsin are as delighted with their photographs as I am.
I encourage all couples to do their own research as to what they want captured on their special day. Tamsin had this fab book that she had stuck everything into and kept me in the loop of colours, what she liked and didn’t like, clothing styles etc which helped me get a better picture of the end result which I feel really does represent their wonderful wedding.
Here are just a very few of MY favourite images, god knows how I’m going to whittle down the rest!
It’s been a good wee while since I updated the blog but I seem to have got myself in a wee tiz between weddings, portrait shoots, and buying clothes for our family holiday! Now that the school holidays are just around the corner and I’m beginning to feel organised I want to share two of the weddings I shot this past couple of weekends. Both brides were absolutely gorgeous as were the locations…… Pittodrie House Hotel where Alison and Kris got married. Clair and Jim got married at Newhills Church, followed by some picture taking at Stoneywood House which is ABSOLUTELY stunning and then onto the Airport Thistle in Dyce. Both weddings were gorgeous days even though Karen (my assistant photographer) and I were attacked by mosquitos or beasties of some description at Pittodrie. I woke up the next day covered in little bites euchhhh!
Anyway here are some of the images I shot:
These first batch are of Alison and Kris Pittman
Congratulations also to Clair and Jim Burbridge
As much as I hate having a cold and lack of energy to do anything it’s been a blessing in disguise because, my lack of energy has meant that I have been glued to my computer and trying to come up with some new designs for Coffee Table Books and Wall Art. For those of you who are expecting your first newborn and decorating a nursery but can’t quite decide what to put on the walls – look no further!! Why not go for gorgeous pictures of your “lil” one with their initials. Better still, tell me your nursery colour scheme and I will design it to suit at no extra charge rather than the templates already designed. This way you can be guaranteed that no one else will have the same art on their walls.
These are not only available for newborns, – you may be re-decorating your little girl or boys bedroom and want some updated themed images with a new colour scheme. The options are endless and I’m always happy to work with you to see what it is you want.

They are so adorable NOT to have 😉
I have more Coffee Table Templates coming soon but here is the newest design.
The choice is endless and that’s what I want to bring you – something a little different.
Yay, I have finally got a new blog which is hopefully a little easier to navigate and follow. There are links to keep up with me on my twitter and Facebook if you so wish. I spent most of the day yesterday trying to figure out how to upload those little icons – finally succeeded then found a cuter Facebook badge which I uploaded but now doesn’t work ;-( so gonna have to figure that one out.
I’m hoping to share videos, inspiration, and other peoples work I like. If you can think of anything that you would like to see on my blog I’m open to suggestions.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
